Richard Hayman Mentorship Scholarship
A program designed to help emerging artists develop their creative skills, a body of work, and knowledge of contemporary art practices. It also helps artists produce portfolios for university or college applications, learn about the gallery system, and apply for grants.
Two artists are chosen each year. Each artist chooses a fall and a winter course; tuition and art supplies are awarded.
Who can apply: emerging, career-oriented artists aged 17 and older. Deadline: August 1. Send your contact details, a letter of intent and 5–10 photos of your work.
Sharon Taylor Youth Bursary & Richard Hayman Adult Bursary
For people with an interest in art who can't take extracurricular classes because of financial constraints. Organizations and school staff can nominate youth (ages 2–18) and adults. The bursary covers tuition, art supplies, and bus fare if needed.
The Debra Cooper Bursary
In memory of Debra Cooper, an intermediate watercolour student who always found a way to attend classes despite her health. For people living with an illness that limits their attendance or finances, so they can experience the joy art can bring.
