Woodburning Workshop: Carved and Woodburned Pendants

During this workshop, you’ll learn how to carve your own wearable piece of art fashioned from locally sourced woods. Ideal for newcomers and those will little experience, this class will teach you how to use files, knives, chisels, Dremels, and sandpaper to fashion a wooden pendant. We’ll talk about sustainable wood selection, design, detailing, and finishing to give you the skills for further projects. During the workshop, you’ll be able to create 1-3 pendants starting with a wooden blank (a piece cut in the general form desired) and you’ll carve, detail, and smooth the piece into its finished shape. Woodburning and stains can also be added to make the pendants your own. 

While all materials will be provided, if you have access to your own gloves (safety or garden), Dremel tool, or carving tools (knife, chisel), please consider bringing these along.
