Silkscreening Workshop: Apron or Tote Bag

In this introductory workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of silkscreen printing using cut paper stencils. The first part of the workshop will be dedicated to cutting the stencils using the images provided.
During the second part, participants will create silkscreen prints on mulberry paper and then will create a final print on either a tote bag or an apron. Instructions for heat setting the fabric print will be given. Layering imagery will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to use this exciting technique should they choose.
There will be a lunch break from 12-1pm. Students can leave to get lunch if they choose.
